Marketing Automation By The Numbers
The last 3 years have been formational years for marketing automation. What used to be a question in the mind of most marketers is now a must. While adoption rates are still low, the projected increase, user understanding and additional vendors flooding this space are evidence that marketing automation is on the rise. As evidenced by this infographic, the marketing automation industry is impacting small and large business alike.

Let me ask the obvious question: if Marketing Automation has indeed become "a must" why is adoption stuck at 10% or less (2010 rate per the awesome infograohic)? I don't think projections (which have continually been high but underachieving) and an over-crowded vendor landscape is enough evidence.
