A Collection of Vintage Enterprise Ads
Look how far we have come in the world of technology and advertising. These enterprise businesses sold themselves in creative and bold ways. Vintage advertisements show just how much culture influences the advertisements of days gone by. Some of these slogans may have been appropriate a few decades ago, but not in today's society.

Fantastic consolidation of how technology companies tried to sell over the years.
In particular, I enjoyed the Bell ad. Note how they pushed a vision rooted in practical benefit. In addition, they emphasize the importance of R&D and innovation investment, which, sadly, is an attitude to which many organizations no longer subscribe.
One other note, these were all businesses that came to being due to free enterprise, with the exception of one - Bell.
The monopoly that Bell had in long distance and local telephone service did allow for it to spend in Research and Development. However, it was divestiture of Bell in the early 1980, and deregulation at the same time that opened up the ability for free enterprise to start competing with Bell, which brought about the incredible changes in telecommunications.
I believe this article is a great example of how free enterprise spawns innovation. Innovation advances competition which can only bring about great change for the consumer.
Great Collection. Liked seeing Bill Bixby again
