Lessons from Failure

  • Recommended by:

The Harvard Business Review has an excellent series of articles this month about failure, how to learn from it, and why we don't learn more.

So much is written, and yet so much is ignored. For all the books written on management and leadership, even if only half of them were considered any good, we should be much better off than we are today.

I'm thrilled to see HBR focusing on this issue. When it comes to IT projects, the topic of failure has been taboo and off the radar for too long. It's time to acknowledge that no enterprise vendor and no enterprise customer is immune to project failure. Let's stop sweeping it under the rug and focus on solutions.
