Brad Carpenter is the CEO of Newline Software, a startup that focuses on security, specifically in the area of homomorphic encryption. Newline Software is creator of Exact, the first and only cloud-based backup and restore service with 100% Data Privacy. It is built on Newline’s OPTIC technology, which is based on our research in the field of homomorphic encryption solution.
Previous to coming the Newline, Brad worked at Microsoft for 20 years, where as an executive, he held several General Manager roles focused on driving technology strategy and delivering products and solutions across the PC industry. Brad helped define and drive the Surface Computing product strategy and development of the software platform, opening up the platform to developers and later driving the technology into Windows and Microsoft’s Developer tools. Brad also spent several years in Windows delivering scalable services and solutions to enable developers to create higher quality device drivers, through working extensively with OEM and IHV partners in the PC industry. Earlier in Brad’s career, he was instrumental in driving the adoption of USB in PC’s, and was recognized but the USB-IF as a key influencer in that space.

Your business needs some software to cut the time. Do you look at offshore?
Agree with David. Having used offshore resources many times over the years, there is an overhead cost. If you had an offshore vendor that you had an existing relationship with, and had put in a place a process to deal with time zone, culture, language, ... more
