Brian Katz

Brian Katz is Director of Mobility for Global Industrialization and Engineering at Sanofi, where he provides mobile computing expertise focused around smartphones and tablets.

Brian was previously the head of Microsoft/x86 Server Engineering group at sanofi-aventis where he was responsible for many successful projects ranging from server architectures, hardware standards and a global qualified Microsoft Server build. Before joining sanofi-aventis, Brian worked at Merrill Lynch where he was the principal Email Architect responsible for their private client architecture, where he gained a deep knowledge of email and mobile platforms. Prior to this Brian worked as a consultant on numerous engagements with top financial firms and some smaller shops.

Brian has advised a number of companies in both the mobile and messaging realm as well as been a member of Technical Advisory councils for many of these companies.

Brian earned his bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT in Cambridge Massachusetts.
