My Goal is to make long term placements!
I specialize in recruiting top performers, and work with public/privately held corporations in the $ 5-500 million dollar area. I help our clients build strong organizations through recruiting for top producing talent. I work vertically from Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Management on up to CFO and CEO Levels.
As a recruiter I attempt to understand the employer’s and candidate’s needs/goals down to the finite details and then coach both sides to be sure all relevant issues get discussed in detail. I hate surprises!
I also attempt to create an interview where the candidate and employer will really get to know each other from chemistry perspective. Typically 70% of decision to offer a job or for that matter to accept one is based on “chemistry”!
I do real “HEADHUTING”/cold calling versus just searching data bases! A great number of the candidates that I place were not looking for a new job when I found them one. This is done through maintain/tracking past contacts and calling competitor’s employers that are currently in similar positions.

I agree with Scott, competitors are the best option especially in today’s economy, but make sure non compete isn’t an issue.
I read the article from Lee Salz. The key point here is to hire “TOP PRODUCERS “and do not settle for less.
