I provide practical advice to employers to help them to comply with the law; anticipate, evaluate and minimize potential risks; and solve employee problems before they erupt into litigation.
My labor and employment practice includes defending employers of all sizes in trials, appeals, administrative proceedings and arbitrations against claims of unlawful discrimination, harassment and retaliation; alleged violations of wage and hour laws; and wrongful discharge. I also represent employers and executives in trade secret, non-competition and contract disputes and counsels them regarding privacy and data protection issues. I have worked with clients in a broad variety of industries, including health care, engineering, mining, pharmaceutical manufacturing, insurance, real estate, mining, construction, banking, security, hospitality, staffing, outdoor recreation and apparel, the arts, education, technology and software.
After earning my law degree, I served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Alfred A. Arraj of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado. I spent nearly two decades in private practice as an employment litigator and counselor representing public, private and non-profit clients of all sizes, most recently as a partner with a large regional firm. Before returning to private practice with Littler, I served as a prosecutor, presenting live testimony at numerous court hearings and trying dozens of cases to jury verdict.
