Dan Waltman

19 years in the IT arena. I am an IT generalist. I have done everything from programming/scripting, to requirements gathering, to testing, to systems administration, to systems analysis, to project management (with direct reports), to infrastructure architecture. I have been in a support role, a development role, a planning role and a management role. I have managed people, been a liaison between the business and outsourced functions and served as a technical resource for internal functions. I have worked as an individual and as a member of a team. I have worked on tiny projects and extremely large ones. I like getting in there and figuring things out and have a reputation for honesty and integrity along with excellent problem solving abilities.

I am OS agnostic and, in general, technology neutral. I don't believe any one vendor, OS, language or framework is the be all end all. They all have their uses, good points and bad points. I am typing this on a Windows 7 laptop, but I also have a Mac mini running Snow Leopard and a laptop running Xubuntu Linux.

I love technology and enjoy being exposed to all kinds of ideas.
