Darren Ascone

Mr. Ascone brings over twelve years of entrepreneurial and management experience to Hover Networks. Mr. Ascone served as Chief Operating Officer of Chek.com (now Synacor), where he managed the company from startup to $3 million in revenues within 3 years. During this period the company grew from 3 to 150+ employees. Mr. Ascone developed the processes to manage the rollout of over 275 customer sites, which enabled the company to become the 4th largest outsourced provider of email in the world. Mr. Ascone was 1999 Upstate New York Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of The Year and 1999 Junior Achievement Entrepreneur of The Year. Prior to Chek.com, Mr. Ascone was one of the first five original employees of EdgeNet, Inc. which was sold to ChoiceOne Communications (CWON).
