Are taxes paid on game show winnings if you give them to a charity?

The individual would report both the winnings and the contribution on his / her return. To the extent that the contribution offsets the winnings income, it would in effect cancel out the taxability of the income.

How do you calculate the break-even point in terms of sales?

Assuming the simple one-product scenario, BE in terms of UNITS is...
F / UCM
...where F is your total fixed costs, and UCM is the Unit Contribution Margin (selling price per unit, minus the variable cost per unit).

What are the benefits of leasing equipment rather than purchasing it?

A very good point by Andrew...because it's generally easier to move in and out of assets more quickly and efficiently when they're leased, rather than when they're owned outright, you can keep your asset base "current", technology-wise.
