Dawn Boyer

Dawn Boyer is a doctoral student at Old Dominion University in the Darden College of Education, working on her PhD in Occupational Studies and Technology – now Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Professional Studies [STEMPS]) with a concentration on Training & Development in Human Resources.

She currently works as a Doctoral-level Graduate Teaching Assistant teaching computer science, technology, and electronic communications to undergraduate students.

Ms. Boyer has 20+ years of senior management experience in human resources, 10+ years in the defense-contracting arena. She performed as a Senior Recruiter for 2.5+ years in the private and defense sector and has worked on various Automated Tracking System (ATS) resume databases.

She also provides HR consulting services to small businesses, including dynamically growing 8(a) set-aside defense companies, as well as training and development for individuals seeking career growth, in the Hampton Roads, VA area.

Ms. Boyer is available for one-on-one training for career track resume writing, LinkedIn Power Profile building assistance and training, as well as provides unique guidance and advice to small businesses (private, defense, or 8(a) for government contracting). She also is capable of assisting or building PowerPoint presentations to increase the 'umphf' of the presentation to the audience.
