Dr. Nixon has researched trust and its impact on individuals and society since 1994. She has conducted hundreds of hours of interviews with CEOs, managers, factory workers, citizens, investors and regulators. She understands what drives people to trust and what happens when trust is breached. Her research led to her doctoral thesis, The Role and Meaning of Trust in Financial Institutions and has presentations of her work to both public and academic conferences.
Dr. Nixon co-founded The G4 Learning Institute in 2010 which is focused on integrating trust-based values with behaviours. She has developed the STEP Process which takes individuals and teams from awareness to growth in 4 stages building on the STEP Intelligences- Social, Trust, Engagement and Partnership The accompanying STEP Individual, 360 and Team assessment helps individuals identify and maximize their gifts and skills.
Dr. Nixon has also developed a series of on-line assessment instruments which measure trust in a variety of ways. Trust Pro predicts trustworthiness in the individual while the Organizational Trust Index (OTI) measures trust in organization, leadership and employees. The Customer OTI measures customer trust along the same dimension as employee trust, thus providing a gap analysis which allows for focused strategies.
Dr. Nixon has also developed MyMoneyMindset™, an assessment and matching instrument for financial services professionals. Its core is based on Dr. Nixon’s research and measures an individual’s psychological and emotional relationship with money.
Dr. Nixon has assisted clients in the assessment of the effectiveness of change programs and processes. She has conducted many program reviews, evaluations and value for money audits. She has consulted to senior executives on strategy, always with a focus on the impact of change on the people linked to the organization. She has consulted to government on the implementation of regulatory change and reform and issues of regulatory compliance.
She is a skilled consultant, teacher, mentor and coach as well as an experienced and a knowledgeable researcher with a unique understanding of the link between customers and organizations and the impact of trust and reputation on a company’s business.
