How do the deal-a-day sites (Groupon, LivingSocial, etc) compare when it comes to customer service?

This is a great question, and I am offering my opinion from watching multi-generational divides in the workplace. Just like a certain insurance advertisement which talks about "people when you want them and [automation] when you don't," we are in the midst of transition.

What control/guidelines (if any) should a company provide over an individual's Linkedin profile?

There is a short answer -- yes (but maybe a long explanation). LinkedIn, like most social media outlets,can be monitored and controlled. You need to have a policy in place; if you don't have a solid policy, there is nothing to enforce. Your policy should ... more
