A former Educator & Football Coach, I have been studying the game of Football from all angles since 1972 under my late Fathers' guidance. I attended my first NY Giants game with him and other family in 1965 when the Giants still played at Yankee Stadium and a ticket cost 7 dollars. Like my Father, I had plans of a law enforcement career with athletics coaching on the side until I had a change of heart in 1979 and quit college to obtain a Warrant Officers' commission In the U.S. Army so I could serve my country by fighting terrorism. I returned home to NYC in 1984 after a disabling flight accident left me no longer able to serve as a "Special Operations" Combat Helicopter pilot(due to combat action In Grenada in late 1983), when I began my multiple careers of Teaching/Coaching/Scouting and Talent Evaluation, as well as Football Writing and Broadcasting. I currently have one of the most popular Football Radio shows on the Internet, approaching two million total listens/downloads in just under 3 years of operation. We are also partnered with two other sports media companies, one focusing on just professional football In NYC, and another running a social network for H.S, college and professional athletes across North America, as well as coaches, team executives & trainers.
We hold memberships in two fraternal organizations(the Football Writers of America assn. & the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters assn.), and speak to several Youth Football groups, Parents, Coaches & Officials on the game of Football. I serve as the coaching compliance officer for a very large youth football organization In the tri-state area. I am a past member of the Pro Football Researchers assn., and also played H.S football for 3 years and "Military service" football for 1 season, but shied away from a "walk on transfer status scholarship" to a major Northeastern University as a Kicker/Punter to serve in the Military. Bio available on request. In the past I have worked for AOL Sports(long before the fanhouse days), several Local NYC and Upstate NY Publications, Public access TV in NYC, and founded one of the most successful NFL Draft Publications(The Stadium Guide to Football-1987-1998) of it's time, as well as it's Computer BBS, the first of it's kind in 1989 for football fans. I and my partners developed the first streaming internet coverage of the NFL Draft in 2006. My co-operators and I also produce a yearIy "Guide" the The NFL draft(in E-book form) which is sent to at least one personnel person with every NFL,CFL, AFL & UFL team, plus every college information director in the NCAA. I probably have too much education for my own good, and I have spent a good deal of my life learning and teaching everyone from Special Olympic athletes and Troubled Teens-at-risk in the NYC school system(where I spent 25+ years as a Teacher, Coach and Asst. Dean), to disabled veterans like myself who need someone who has "been there" to talk to, and to struggling sports writers who need help to get off the ground...I got my broadcast media start at"the 50,000 Watt Voice of Fordham University"-WFUV(90.7FM in NYC and WFUV.org) in 1985, (where I was taught by the "late & Great" Marty Glickman (former NY Giants player and broadcaster)...which I grew up less then 1 mile away from in the wonderful Bronx County of NYC.
