Fred McClimans

Fred is an Information, Technology and Business Analyst with over 20 years of experience in product development, information/analytical methodologies and content distribution systems for global markets, most notably involving his work as the founder of web-based Current Analysis, a global market intelligence firm, his extensive writing and speaking engagements and his work as an advisor and consultant to a variety of emerging and established technology companies and financial firms. His experience includes hardware/software product development, strategic marketing, company/product launch strategies, investment evaluations, fund-raising and business partnership and acquisition activities.

In addition to his past experiences at firms such as the Gartner Group and Ernst & Young, he presently serves as a technology advisor to Hayfield Capital.

As an author, Fred published his first book on networking in 1991 and has published over 200 editorials and articles on technology and business strategies appearing in a variety of magazine and online publications, including IDG News (through Network World/NWFusion and CNN Online), PC Magazine, Data Communications Magazine, Cable and Wiring Magazine, CIO Magazine and Military Satellite Communications Magazine. His work was honored by the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) in 1999 and 2000 with a Silver Award for Best Original Online Column: Keeping Current (via IDG). He has also spoken at corporate and industry conferences, such as Interop, Comnet and Supercomm. His speaking engagements include major corporate, technology and business venues.
