Jeff Steed is a member of the firm’s tax, estate planning, and business finance practice groups. He focuses solely on a combination of tax, legal, and finance strategies for high-wealth estates, private businesses, non-profit organizations, and financial investment companies/trusts. He advises clients on estate planning, business planning, governance, taxation, asset protection, and regulatory compliance matters.
Jeff is committed to professional excellence with an eye towards overall value, and developing and maintaining comprehensive strategies on an ongoing basis. He is licensed to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and has experience in the following areas:

Jeff is the manager of our Compliance Management System (CMS). He received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Utah, S.J. Quinney College of Law and his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in business and international management from Utah State University. Presently, he is pursuing an Executive L.L.M. degree in taxation and wealth management with the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, a private law school in San Diego, where he maintains a “highest honors” grade point average.
Jeff has held various positions in business and finance, including serving as the director of compliance for a regional wealth management and investment advisory firm. He is a board member for various business and 501(c)(3) charitable organizations. He currently serves as the program chairman for the Utah Bar’s Section on Non-Profit and Charitable Organizations. He was recently named by Utah Business magazine as one of Utah’s Legal Elite for 2010 and also 2011.
