I began my career in VoIP telecommunications sales and application engineering in 1996. Starting with a small reseller in Lansing, Mi. I created the position of Design Engineer for the company handling all high-end application related sales within the mid-Michigan area.
In 2000 I joined Inter-Tel Technologies as a Branch Sales Engineer in the Orlando Florida market where I continued to refine my skill set assisting in sales ranging from the local Orlando market to national and international clients.
In 2004 I was privileged to join the Corporate Sales Engineering team at Inter-Tel. This team (now called the Corporate Systems Engineering group) handles pre-sales system and application engineering support for all Mitel dealers in North America assisting nearly 1000 Var's with close to $800M in sales.
In August of 2010 I took a position as Channel Development Engineer for Mitel designing and implementing a program to assist our new channel partners in hitting the ground running and increasing their speed to success in selling Mitel solutions.
In 2008 Mitel rose to become the No. 1 leading vendor in the mid market space in the US and I was asked to take a leadership role as Director of Corporate Systems Engineering. Since taking over the group I have instituted significant changes in our ability to handle multiple interaction types including voice, email , real-time chat and soon web 2.0 technologies in our effort to assist our VAR's in their efforts to position and win large, complex and dynamic solutions-based sales designed around Mitel's award-winning, state-of-the-art technologies.
