I am coming to the end of my service contract with my ERP vendor, is it more cost effective to upgrade to the most recent version or completely replace the system with something that is hosted?

This is probably a little bit of an over-generalization, but it has been our experience that while a hosted solution may cost less initially... and might cost less even over the course of its life... you may get less functionality, slower speed, and more nickle-and-diming. ... more

Is there such a thing as an inexpensive HRIS? I’ve been given a budget of $10K, and I’m not sure if I have any options.

Great question, Maxine. The cost will depend on how many concurrent users you need, but we offer Microsoft Dynamics GP which has a good HR (and Payroll) system.

Why is Mac OS considered more secure than Windows?

Any Apple system should have antivirus software and a firewall to protect it, just like Windows.
Go with the platform that offers you the best business functionality, then get the necessary software and hardware to protect it.
