I (Lua), founded the evolve consultancy in December 2007 and we became an independent limited company in July 2009. I feel passionately that there is a proven way of winning the discretionary effort of employees, of providing an engaging and exciting work environment and of winning true competitive advantage through the people of the organisation. My background has its roots in Banking but for more than twenty years I have worked as both a Consultant looking after my own corporate clients and as a Line Manager at all levels and I have had the ‘luck’ and good fortune to manage some excellent winning teams who have been motivated and challenging in turn.
In recent years and indeed as a response to client needs, I have moved further away from the world of employee benefit products and sales and more deeply into the importance of the work environment, the way a place ‘feels’ to work, the way management are treated and the way they behave to others, as all being integral parts of the ‘total reward’ story. It’s why an individual either can’t wait to get to work or longs to turnover and go back to sleep! Its what makes the difference to throwing off the ‘flu’ when others are less resilient, it is going that extra mile or extra hundred miles and being happy to do it, because you know that the rewards will be there.
