Just a note - auto-login is not the same as Single-Sign On (SSO).
SSO is typically a server level feature which allows your "session" to be used to login to multiple different sites (potentially on completely different geographical or technical systems).

You can apply these across Content Types or specific Lists and Libraries and allow you to specify a dynamic "expiration date" (e.g. 6 months after it was last modified?)

Is a low level format sufficient to full wipe a Hard Drive?

Ok thanks for that answer .. so if I use the standard Command Prompt command:
"Format C: /P:7"

Scalability shouldn't be an issue unless you are looking at extremely vast amounts (tens of terabytes) of data ..
