Marty Michael, is Vice President, Enterprise Software Solutions at Avanceon where he leads the company vision to provide innovative technology solutions to industrial and manufacturing companies that need to improve their ability to respond in today’s rapidly changing market place. As a long time business leader in the area of on-line production systems, cloud computing, manufacturing execution systems, and track and trace solutions he works directly with clients to improve their productivity, speed to production, and manufacturing quality in response to direct client feedback. With the advent of Web 2.0 marketing and direct customer feedback, manufacturers have had to improve their reaction time to rapidly change product designs, recipes, packaging and production capabilities.
Marty is the chairman of a team focused on leveraging virtual technologies from VMWare, Avanceon, and enterprise cloud platforms that will enable manufacturers to empower their manufacturing production plants with flexible, fail safe, and high speed production capabilities that will support Advanced Agile Manufacturing capabilities. For 25 years, Avanceon has been a leader in implementing industrial and manufacturing control systems based on the ISA-88 and ISA-95 standards which now serve as foundation to bring the values of virtualization and cloud computing to industrial manufacturers.
In 2000, Marty was the founder and CEO of LScan Technologies, Inc. a company focused on providing mobile track and trace computing solutions to the pharmaceutical industry via a Software as a Service Platform (SaaS). At LScan, Marty designed and filed a patent for a proprietary technology designed to manage paperless data in a regulated environment. He is a graduate of NW Missouri State University with a B.S. degree in Industrial Technology and Communication Electronics.
