Matthew Murphy Heads up the Sales and Marketing at Bling Nation, as the General Manager since July 2010. Bling Nation is a leader in mobile payments space. Prior to Bling Nation, Matt was the VP of Marketing at Chegg.com, a textbook rental company where he oversaw all marketing efforts for the company. Prior to Chegg, Mr. Murphy was the Director of Product Management at Ask.com, where he oversaw Ask Mobile, Ask News, Ask Kids and Ask Deals. Earlier, he was the Global VP of Marketing and Business Development at MOLI.com, a social networking site. At MOLI, Mr. Murphy was responsible for marketing, business development, product development, PR and community development activities. Before, he was a Senior Manager of Advertising and Media at E-TRADE, a New York-based online brokerage firm, where he managed global advertising, branding, sponsorships and media efforts. Mr. Murphy received his MBA from William Paterson University, studied finance at Santa Clara University and attended Executive Marketing courses at the Kellogg School.

Empire Avenue: Now that the site has been out for awhile, do you use it? (and how?)
Empire Avenue was fun for the first week or so. There is a competitive element where you try to get a higher stock price than your friends, but this dies out quickly. I have not been back to the site in over 3 months and ... more
