What are the benefits of voip?

VoIP provides built in disaster recovery. By definition, a Hosted VoIP phone system is hosted on a server not at your location. This means that even if your office is completely destroyed, your phone system will continue to operate.

What is a good reason to NOT implement an IP phone system?

I agree with Jon Arnold's conclusion. If your company just uses the phone to make and receive calls and have no need to integrate other services or locations and your system is working well, moving to VoIP is not going to add value. more
