Recognition is growing that data traditionally locked down inside an organisation is of far greater value within a Linked Data ecosystem made possible by convergence between mature Semantic Web specifications, the participative revolution of Web 2.0 and an evolution of Cloud Computing beyond the simple remote hosting of compute resources.
