Richard Myles

I am a Director at Flume, a consultancy helping media, conference & events businesses, in particular, deliver results via sales training and consultancy services. I’m really passionate about webinars and virtual events and prior to my current role, I was the Virtual Solutions Director for UBM. During my time at UBM, our global team produced 100’s of virtual events, working with clients such as KPMG, IBM and Microsoft.

I have worked in the media and events industry for 15 years,with a background in sales and marketing. I became a Sales Director in 2005 responsible for a large portfolio of trade publications and websites. As Digital Development Director during 2009, I led the strategy and direction of numerous online products.

A focus on virtual solutions from January 2010 was driven by my experience of launching one of the first virtual events in the UK in January 2008.

My move to Flume in August 2011 was to fulfil an ambition to help grow a small consultancy business, whilsts offering sound advice and sales learning & development to businesses in the sectors we serve.
