About Scott Mead
Scott Mead is an investment banker, supporter of several worldwide charities and a fine arts photographer. Mead began working at Goldman Sachs’ in New York in 1986 and later relocated to the UK. Scott Mead’s most recent initiative is co-founding Richmond Park Partners in London. Mead holds a Law degree from the University of Pennsylvania, a Master’s degree from Emmanuel College ,Cambridge, where he was the Harvard Scholar, and a Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University.
Career
After completing his Law degree and working at First Boston Corporation, Scott Mead joined Goldman Sachs, helping to build the company’s international telecommunications, media and technology business.
Most notably, Mead played a pivotal role in helping to lead the historic multi-billion dollar acquisition of Mannesmann on behalf of Vodafone. Following his time at Goldman Sachs, Mead was an advisor to Apax Partners, and later in 2008 Mead co-founded Richmond Park Partners, a financial advisory and asset management firm.
Interests Close to the Heart
Scott is committed to several charities. He founded and chairs the Mead Family Foundation which supports medical research and educational initiatives. Mead is a supporter of London’s Great Ormond Street Hospital, and endowed the Harvard University Men’s Tennis Head Coaching position. He is also active on the boards of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, the Tate Foundation, the WTA Tour, Ushers New Look and Room to Read UK Advisory Board as well as various Harvard University task forces. A fine art photographer, Scott Mead held an exhibit at London's Hamilton Gallery to raise money for Ormond Street Hospital’s Children's Charity. In addition to philanthropy, Scott Mead is an avid tennis player and runs in marathons the world over.
