Steven Elliott

Steve joined the CPA firm of Janover, LLC in January, 2008 as Senior Tax Manager in the Garden City (Long Island) office.

Steve has over 25 years of public accounting experience advising high net worth individuals, closely held and family businesses as well as trusts, estates, partnerships, corporations and not for profit entities. In addition, Steve has extensive experience acting as a client advocate in regards to tax notices, audits and protests, including payment plans and offers in compromise.

Steve received his Masters in Taxation from Bentley University (formerly Bentley College) and did his undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston. He also holds Certificates in Advanced Taxation Issues and Personal Financial Planning from Bentley. Steve is licensed in both New York and Massachusetts and is an active member of the American Institute of Public Accountants as well as the New York State Society and Massachusetts State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Steve has taught Masters level tax programs at Bentley University, Suffolk University and Northeastern University as well as being an instructor for Becker CPA review. Steve is also an annual advisor for the Boston Globe’s on-line tax resource center called “Ask a CPA” as well as being active in mentoring and taxation committees for the New York and Massachusetts CPA Societies.

Steve, his wife and twin daughters live on Long Island, NY. He enjoys reading, movies, golf, singing and sports as well as being active in his church community.
