I am employed with Selected Funeral and Life Insurance Company headquartered in Hot Springs, Arkansas where I serves as the Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and the Human Resource Officer and Compliance Officer.
I am responsible for establishing, overseeing and implementing all human resources efforts for a leading regional life insurance company that operates in a four-state region. Provide overall leadership and guidance by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits.
I manage and monitor the Company's insurance regulatory compliance matters.
Handle marketing, public relations, and any other special project areas, including designing brochures, publications, newsletters and booklets. Supervise and develop the coordination of Company events, including employee functions, corporate events, seminar planning and Company educational and training programs.
I am currently serving as the Membership Advisory Council (MAC) representative for the SHRM Southwest Central Region, and have previously served as the State Director for Arkansas. I have held many volunteer positions within the SHRM state council and chapter structure, including chapter president, Manager’s Seminar chair, and Arkansas Employment Law and Legislative Affairs (ELLA) Conference chair and on the 2011 and 2012 state conference. In 2007, I was named the Arkansas HR Professional of the Year.
