Tim Sullivan brings over 25 years of sales, marketing and management consulting experience to his role as director of development at Sales Performance International. Tim leads SPI’s innovation team to find and capture the best practices of the world’s top performing sales professionals and teams. He is co-author of “The Solution Selling Fieldbook” and a contributor to “The New Solution Selling” and “The Solution-Centric Organization”, all published by McGraw-Hill.
Before joining SPI, Tim was a Senior Director of Product Marketing for Siebel Systems, Inc., where he managed solution development and marketing for advanced sales methodologies. He previously served as Vice President for OnTarget, Inc., a sales training and consulting firm, and was General Manager of Culpepper and Associates, a high technology industry consulting and research firm. Tim began his career in high technology sales with Management Science America (later Dun & Bradstreet Software), where he held sales and sales operations positions during his ten-year tenure there.
Tim is a sought-after speaker and author on advanced sales and marketing topics. He has spoken at events hosted by the Information Technology Association of America, American Marketing Association, Direct Marketing Association, the Institute for Study of Business Marketing, Software Success CEO conferences, DCI Sales Automation conferences, the University of Notre Dame, Georgia State University, Penn State University, Kennesaw State University, IBM, Alcatel, Nortel, Avaya, Emerson, Microsoft, and many other clients and venues. His columns on sales and marketing practices have been published in Sales and Marketing Management, Sales & Field Force Automation, Marketing Management, SellingPower, VARBusiness, and other magazines, newsletters, and online resources. Tim holds a business degree from the University of Notre Dame, and is a dedicated Fightin’ Irish football fan. He resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
