According to Sirius Decisions, 3 out of 4 marketing automation users are sub optimal.
John Neeson, Managing Director and Co-Founder of SiriusDecisions, a leading provider of sales and marketing research and best practices services, recently told DemandGenReport that while interest in marketing automation is rising, most adopters under-utilize these powerful systems.
“We believe less than 25% of those who have marketing automation are taking full advantage of the system’s functionality,” he said.
What's your take on this problem?

I agree. We have seen a lot of this as well where marketers using a marketing automation app are more or less doing email marketing with very little follow-up rule-based conversation building. But I won't blame them. Marketing automation may be a popular buzzword with lots of competitors BUT the users are still getting started. They are still struggling with what content to build, what type of conversation flows to design, how and what to track and how to use that data and so much more.
I think a lot of education still needs to happen in this space for it to truly "happen" for marketers. I know you are already doing a LOT of this which is awesome!
