Advice about TouchStar Predictive Dialers?

We’re adding a predictive dialer system to our call center and are considering TouchStar’s solution. Has anyone used this particular predictive dialer before? What can you say about it? We have a demo with them next week and I’d like any feedback I can get.

We have a 40 seat TouchStar system we've used for 4 years. Great system but beware of their maintenance contracts. Extremely expensive and will only help you if you agree to their exorbitant annual fees. I've found a company that is TouchStar proficient and will help you for a reasonable hourly fee. Contact me for the referral.

Hi Richard
I know a company that’s been using the Touchstar system for the past 6 years. The system works great but they are in need of some maintenance now. Can you please send me the contact details for the company in your post?

We offer a fully hosted dialing solution offering inbound / outbound / manual preview etc.. Are you looking at Touchstar hosted or traditional dialer?
Would love to provide you a free demo as we compete against them quite frequently. Please contact me at: cschaeffer@livevox.comwww.livevox.com
thanks

Before you add the predictive dialer - Check you carrier contract. Over the past year carriers have enacted policies to penalize unconnected calls - especially to tier2 and tier3 locations. Some clients were hit with thousands of dollars in penalties. I do know of at least one carrier who still allows these short duration (non-connected) calls if your carrier is one that will penalize you.

I know a phone carrier that will charge in 6 second increments and doesn't penalize for the short duration calls as well. I also know of a dialer that you can purchase, instead of hosting, that has all the same features as the Touchstar but costs WAAAAY less. The only difference is your agents won't have "hard" phones at their desks. They will have a USB headset plugged into their agent computer and that is it. So you don't have to worry about your agents making personal calls on their phones. There is a way of manually calling on the agent computer if it's necessary, but which is also easily traceable so you can catch an agent if they are abusing the phones and making personal calls when they are supposed to be working. I will just give you the reference instead of telling you to contact me to get the referral. The company is Used Dialers. Their website is www.useddialers.com. You can contact them via phone at 620-860-4205 or email at sales@useddialers.com. The are very knowledgeable and have several different systems that they can sell instead of contacting a dialer company that is trying to sell you on their system. They will sell you the one you need and will get you in touch with a phone carrier that will give you the best rates for what you are trying to do.
