I have never actually used Whaleback Systems' service, however I was a VoIP analyst for about a year, on VoIP-News.com. During that time, Whaleback came up frequently and the feedback on customer support and phone system up time were great. The negative attributes typically dealt with price, but if you believe that you get what you pay for, this system could be well worth it.
Hi I have a similar experience with Whaleback, and I am based in Asia where it doesn't seem to have a lot of mindshare the general consensus was that the product was fine, just not a lot of channel support in Asia.
