Let me put it this way. Paper is not the issue. Having success stories is absolutely critical, especially where:

1. your company is new and is trying to establish credibility

2. your product/services is new and potentially represents a new category for buyers

3. ROI or benefits of your product/service are not commonly understood or accepted

4. your product/service is complex and you want to show successful applications of that product or service

Whether you use online or paper is simply a matter of how to execute for your particular business and sales process.
