Are refurbished computers as good as they sound?
It seems to me that refurbished computers are a great deal for businesses on a limited budget, like mine. What's the catch?

I would say that if you are looking at the Dells or HPs of the world, I can't really say that there is a catch - unless of course having to buy from a list of machines that is already pre-configured is a catch for you.
I have suggested refurbs from Dell to clients over the years, and it generally has worked out. Their warranty was identical to buying new, and any of the machines we got looked brand new - never would know that they were not 'new'.
I would guess that HP offers similar terms.
Regarding other, lower tier vendors, I could not say, but I know that I would REALLY do my due dilligence before stepping in those waters. Especially if you are talking about any systems that will placed in a mission critical position.
