Are seasonal employees entitled to social security benefits?

Chad, you should review the law as to who is an employee verses an independent contractor. If you are directing the employees and they work at the time you specify and using your facilities and tools, these are legally employees.
If they are legally employees, they are temporary or seasonal. Regardless, you will need to run their payroll through your payroll system and pay employment taxes on them. This will include all payroll taxes, not just social security.
You do not want to wait for the IRS or your state to find out your non compliance. However if you can get your part time employees to qualify for independent contractor status, you will not have to pay, but can issue form 1099. However this is not easy.
