Are there any hidden parts to the FMLA act that employees should be aware of?
The Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) is a very comprehensive piece of legislature. Are there any parts of the act that aren't very clear that employees should be aware of?

My findings of what workers do not understand or know about FMLA:
That under FMLA you won't be paid for any time taken
You can take your Company Paid Time Off (e.g. vacation) so as to be paid during the FMLA time off
That FMLA can be taken in pieces (e.g. two weeks now and 3 days next month and 2 days in six months). It's called Intermittent FMLA.
The Company may have Policies that impact FMLA and the worker needs to understand them
(e.g. you can take your PTO prior to FMLA taking effect so as to get more time off)
It covers Eldercare issues
