Are there any security concerns when it comes to cloud computing?
I know that cloud is supposed to be the "safe" way to store data, but I was just wondering if anyone has had any security experiences with it. Has your cloud ever gotten hacked or breached in any way?

Mark,
I have never heard of a security breach on a cloud computing company yet. I say yet, because I'm sure it can and may have happened already. But, I see the security concerns more on the network side and the encryption over that network. Certainly, make sure you have a solid network.
I would also ask any cloud computing company that you are looking to do business with, "where are your data servers located"? Make sure they are utilizing Tier III or Tier IV data co-location facilities that can provide you with redundancy and business continuity.
Also, before you do business with any cloud computing company, make sure you address "who owns the data" if you decide to leave that company at the end of the agreement. You don't want to get caught in a legal battle to retrieve your data.
If you are really worried about security, you may want to consider putting your own servers in a Co-lo of your choosing which would provide you with the peace of mind yet give you some flexibility.
I would be curious to know if anyone has experienced an attack.

Mark,
It ultimately depends on what platform are you hosting on and how much motivation would someone have to get your data. If you are on a Linux based system, the standard security is usually quite good and not so easy to get in.
If you are hosting sensitive and valuable data, you should make your cloud more secure by setting up firewalls (allowing only certain IPs to access your server) and maybe VPN or like how Derek pointed out, doing it on your own (which in my view is as good or bad if you are hosted elsewhere)
Ideally your prime concern should be how your users manage their passwords and that they are secure.
In my experience, I have not heard small or medium sized businesses get hacked.... Governments and large corporations are another story.
