In BtoB, do social media transactions and web site clicks represent true engagement with prospects?

Or does genuine BtoB engagement still require live human-to-human interaction at some point(s), such as in a phone conversation or in-person?

You stole my answer, Mr. Brown! To reiterate, YES, actual relationships with people are important in business relationships. Full automation is a terrible idea for B2B.

That being said, the social media and website clicks should NOT be ignored, either. They are all part of the selling process, and together they make a stronger trust bond in business partnerships.
