Can anyone suggest good certification programs?
The areas I'm looking to focus in are: search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), project management and product management

There are no search certification programs. PMP is probably the most recognized project management certification.

Hi Marc, Jamie Siracusa from bec-us.com here, I'm a new Focus member and Expert "wanna-be".
Brian P is 100% correct in the product and PM area. There are a few SEO Certification programs popping up though that should be looked at, really depending on what and how deep you are willing to go! First are Google's programs. Secondly there are several top universities now offering "SEO, Social Media, and amongst their various Internet and Web Dev programs.
A quick and easy (relevent, don't tell them I said called it easy!) one is:
SEO Certification.org, one of my guys is on their list and raved about it.
" By obtaining the Search Engine Optimization Certified credential, you will benefit from:
Industry recognition
Enhanced job opportunities
Increased customer satisfaction ""
They also promise a certain level of integrity (again relevent, that you can tell them I said! Have you ever come across any over promises in other areas of marketing??? A certification just gives someone the license to charge more for underdelivering.) LOL :-b
