Cloud Computing Security concerns?
What are the real concerns? I hear everybody saying that it's all about the "cloud", but what are the security risks I should watch out for?

I think one of the biggest concerns we saw play out with T-Mobile. It put some of its user data (text messages, etc) in the "cloud". Well the cloud server(s) died and no data could be saved. We are talking about thousands of subscribers whose data was permanently lost. In the storage world we have hot sites, cold sites etc and the pro's/con's of each. well as companies are using more and more of cloud storage as a way to lower cost I can see somewhere down the line when there are multiple failures in the "cloud" and oops there goes all your hot storage out in a flash. Companies should use cloud storage very carefully and realize it is still a new technology with old problems. Yes use cloud storage but be careful with it. I would use it as a hybrid approach to storage. Don't everyone hop on the cloud train just yet.
As of now, to my best understanding, in cloud you park data at your own risk. There is no insurance available for that data, like the same you do regarding your yahoo! mail or gmail. Yet, both services are kind of indispensable part of our current daily life. Hope that explains my position.
