I normally drink 2 cups of coffee in the morning. If lots of meetings then I may sneak in a third cup. Water the rest of the day.

This is exactly my approach to workplace caffeination, too!

With the boss I have now and the hours I am working doing measurements that do not alway make sense when the process keeps changing and the numbers or targets are moving? at least 4+. But I do put 30 mins on the tread mill 3~4 times a week too! :-)

way too many is my honest anwer.I have recently realised.
My experience so far with coffee is that funnily enough it's no logner a once in a while pleasure, but has become a "need", under the false belief that until the first coffee i cannot function. but somehow i don't have such coffee intake during weekends and I have recently realised also that I can function perfectly well if not even better without. Thinking back I have also noticed that lately I have increased by 2fold if not more my intake, without even noticing. Luckily though in my experience coffee addiciton could be "cured" within 3 days.
It is worth notice that coffee acidifies your natural pH to a very great extent! Plus, if health is no sufficient motivation to stay away from it, have a think on the CO2 emissions it costs to produce, collect the grains, roast and fianlly deliver it to your coffee machine...

My coffee intake fluctuates on a daily basis, and I , like Chiara am often fooled into thinking I cannot function correctly without a cup in the morning.

I've been trying to manage my own coffee intake, as the addiction can easily take over the daily routine. A cup of coffee can make or break my day? That's when you know it's gone too far :)

Tricky thing, coffee - so simple, yet such a craze. Can you imagine, if you run out of coffee at home in the morning, the money you spend on a single cup? Insanity. Especially for those addicts, like myself. Tough on the psyche and on the wallet!
