Computer for business: Any recs?

I'm self-employed and need a new computer for my professional pursuits. Should I get a laptop or desktop? Are there any computers that are particularly good for self-employed folks?

Yes to laptop. It gives you freedom to work from anywhere; Starbucks, airport, client waiting room, etc. You can use it to present as well. I would highly recommend getting broadband Internet for it. Sprint, and Verizon are the best providers. This gives you a back up when (not if) your home broadband goes down.
Get a separate hard drive so you can back it up often.

I also work from home. Every time I need a new laptop I compare Dell, HP, Sony, and Apple. I have always found Dell to be the lowest cost for the features I want. Check out the Latitude and Inspiron models.
