This is an interesting question. Although we don't have a lot of conference rooms at my office. I'll give a few suggestions. My advice would be to name the conference rooms after monuments within your area. Another suggestion is to name the conference rooms after different colleges or athletic conferences. Maybe it could be a spin off of where your CEO went to school. You don't want the plain old conference 1, conference 2, conference 3, etc. Find something that your interested in and pick your favorites, ie, ski mountains, bars, rivers, countries, streets, etc.
This is a pretty fun question actually. It made me think about it. I have been a consultant for many years now and have seen some different methodologies. The more I thought about this question the more I realized how conference room naming is part of the corporate culture.
For example, a younger culture may choose movies, comic book names.
Law Firms might name them after courthouses, famous lawyers
It's very common for companies to try to do something local like local landmarks.
Here are my favorites I have seen:
2 gaming companies, One had Star Wars locations (Tatoonie, Death Star, etc), the other had Sci-fi characters
Software company used stadiums like Wrigley Field
Financial Company had financial landmarks like US Mint, Fed Reserve, etc
PR Firm used famous fashion cities like Milan
You get the idea. It can be a fun exercise, just remember that it should reflect your culture.
