Do you read business books and if so, which ones would you recommend?
I just finished reading Frank Bettger's "How I Raised Myself from Failure to Success in Selling" and its simple advice on selling from 1947 made an impact on me. I would warmly recommend the book to anyone! Having finished it in one day more or less, I am now interested in finding other great books about business (marketing, selling, online marketing, SEO) that have made an impact on its readers.

Hi Linda,
I highly recommend the following books:
1. How to be brilliant by Michael Heppell
2. The Art of SEO by Eric Enge, Stephan Spencer, Rand Fishkin, Jessie C Stricchiola
3. How to become CEO (audio book is brilliant)
4. Marketing in the age of Google by Vanessa Fox (She was incharge of Google webmaster tools)
6. How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie
I'm about half way through reading Crucial Conversations and it's amazing!
I love to read books, especially Management/Business related. Recently read the book "Go Giver" by Bob Burg & John D.Mann. Excellent book, I feel everyone should read this, whether you are in Business or NOT. Every will benefit from this. Check out the reviews in my Blog.

want a great throw-back book that is extremely relevant to email marketing today, give "Tested Advertising Methods" by Caples -- brilliant!!!
I just purchase Brian Solis' book Engage. Looks very interesting. One book I continue to refer back to is Charlene Li and Josh Bernoff's "Groundswell". Although a couple of years old it has lasting value.
I'm doing a report on it here: http://www.mi6agency.com/category/mi6-blook-reports/
I'm establishing myself as an independent consultant and hence interested in related topics. I picked up 3 of Alan Weiss (a million dollar consultant) - Getting started with consulting, Million Dollar Consulting and Money Speaks. All three are fantastic books and I would recommend them for anyone in consulting business.
Josh Kaufman built best business books list under his program PMBA and it can be found here: http://personalmba.com/best-business-books/. I've read most of them and these books improved my business knowledge.
Cheers,
Joseph
If you want to understand business success in general and workers in specific then read any and all Gallup Books. They are based on interviews so there is some basis for their conclusions. http://www.gallup.com/press/gallup-press.aspx
The best things is it is easy to implement their findings.

Excellent! Thank you everyone! I think my summer reading list is starting to look much better now than a few weeks ago! :)
