Sure! I believe that the content from my social connections will be more relevant and meaningful to me than content from any other random person..
and BTW, That's why Google and other search engines are trying to Go Social.
No. I don't care who likes what, it's what I like that counts and I have different needs, wishes, parameters, ideas, from my friends and acquaintances.
It's just another gimmick that I find intrusive and stupid. I've stopped shopping on Amazon because I keep being asked to "rate" a company or a product often before I've even received or tried the thing. It's getting ridiculous.
If I want technical expertise I'll look for it from an indepent expert, not someone I merely know or see has ticked some damn box.
