Do you use a compensation calculator?
My small business is pretty new and I am looking to hire a few more people- some entry level, some a little higher up. Has anyone ever used a compensation calculator? How did you like it? Did you make your own or is there a standard one that I could check out?

1 Answer
The disadvantage of using a compensation Calculator is that the data is supplied by the actual job incumbent and not supplied by the company (the model used by most survey companies). If you would like a cheaper and better alternative, try the economic research institute. For about 20 dollars a job, you can get benchmark data by city and industry.
