Does 'all' CRM packages have enough functionallity?

With a wast majority of CRM package having enough or more functionality it would be nice to have a measure on real productivity and usability facts. Anyone know any good measures for this? Most common activities and time to complete? And what benefit would it bring to the end user to have comparisons based on such criteria?I would very much like to have your input on this. Stein

I do not know many metrics, such as what you are asking, for CRM software. You may want to request a Brief on this. Someone may need to research and do some testing.

I have worked with quite a few CRM packages, but it would require far more research to give you a solid answer to your question.

I think you are getting close to my point. To see if it integrate with web, integrate with email, can plan recurrent events, etc. is quite easy to tick off and unfortunately the way many are lead to compare systems. But it does not tell anything about the through business value the system can deliver!

Exactly, but "business value" is something that only a business can determine. Only currency provides a standard value across the board. With software and services; only a business can decide what value it may receive from different packages and if ROI is feasible.

The business unit better have gathered metrics and reports before implementing a solution... unless they don't care about ROI and determining true business value.

I may have digressed a bit...

One of the first things we ask our prospects is if they have created a "CRM Requirements" document.

If they haven't, then we will help them create one so that they understand what they really want their CRM system to do for them.
