Does anyone have experience using Gist.com as a contact aggregator?
I've received several invitations to use Gist, what is being billed as Personal Relationship Software (PRM) for marketing, sales, networking, and lead generation. Gist is free, and allows you to integrate your email address book, plus contacts from Twitter, Facebook, etc. all into one dashboard. It then layers on top more information about the person drawn from their social networks and about their companies.
If you've used Gist, is it like Plaxo, which steals your inbox and proactively sends service invites out to them against your will? Or is it a legitimate Web 2.0 tool?

Randy - I emailed Gist about this and they say that they don't use your contact information for any reason whatsoever.
Seems pretty straightforward - you might try emailing them - they responded very quickly.
I'm trying Gist now to see if I want to recommend it to my clients. Just in the testing stage. I'll see how it goes.
