Have you decided upon a payment solution to accept your customers payments? I work with the industry's leading providers in merchant services solutions from processors to payment gateways and chargeback management. I can provide you with detailed insight on how to get setup fast and easy at a competitive rate. As a bonus I also offer free merchant consultation on the card payments industry's requirements and compliance needs so that you can function effectively and avoid interruptions and hefty fines. Please let me know if you would like to set up an introductory call.
thank you,
Sherry
If you are only looking for web hosting to get started you could check out BlueHost. I have used them for about 6 years and have never been dissatisfied. Their tech support is fantastic and the user control panel is extremely easy to use and is loaded with features.

If you are looking for some type of service does everything for you? Take at look at some of these:

In the long run, going with the hosting is a cheaper option and it will allow you to scale up later on. There are many shopping cart systems out there to use and many of them have thriving communities built around them where you can find designers/developers to help get your site up and running.
eCommerce software that I recommend:

If you would like to create more than just an eCommerce site you could use Joomla! and VirtueMart together. RocketTheme.com has a great premade template that combines the two if you wanted to go that route: http://www.rockettheme.com/joomla-templates/mynxx
If you are looking for a free consulation, feel free to call 1-866-232-9265.
There are several software processes that we can include in the hosting service that can save you some time and money. Also, make sure that any service and/ or plans you do go with are PCI / PAdss compliant, or might be forced to resetup your service (next year) all over again. Keith's suggestion about joomla / virtuemart is a good one, and follows those compliance guidelines. For more information about that see:

If you need paypal only, BlackSun offers a mini eccomerce plan to get you started (and includes the SSL certificates if you need merchant gateway handoffs on the higher level upgraded ecommerce plans).

Please check out Zingiri at www.zingiri.com. We provide the e-commerce as a service. One of the key things when hosting an ecommerce site is that you want to host in a good neighbourhood. In a mixed shared environment you're always at the mercy of someone spamming and bringing down the server. We only host our solutions on our servers, hence seriously reducing this risk and ensuring you can sleep without worries.
Please check vexxhost.com, we provide a full web hosting service that will fit your needs. Please contact me if you need for a special offer. Thank you
