Economic recovery: as a business person, do you believe the economic recovery is real?

Hi Christy, what a great question! Personally I think economic recovery is NOT REAL at all! Every single person I know from retired relatives, to self employed friends, to associates who use to be millionaires and the list goes on ALL OF THEM ARE DOING far worse than ever before! The prices at the stores are going up and those with a stable income are living like their is no chance of loss and that is scary.

Almost every state, including NC where I live, are having budget shortages and the attempts by the Government only show how disconnected the politicians are to the reality of life for most common people. The gap between the wealthy and poor is far greater than in the history of man right now and the USA is a country of buyers more than producers on the global scene!

I love the USA and am proud to be American but the extremes of each political party only does more damage than good while they themselves have nothing to fear. The President gives his cell phone number to Kobe and other entertainers and never skips a vacation while the "real" solutions that can be passed are left to next year! What an utter joke!

I think people will ultimately wake up to the scams of our government but until then its treading water for most people.
